Golfer's Paradise

Sorrento, Florida

This side yard landscape was created to buffer undesirable views and accent the excellent lake and golf course views. This landscape features a practice putting green complete with a fringe and views of the lake as well.

The dense plantings along the property line will create an evergreen buffer that will screen views to neighboring properties year round as well as provide privacy for the clients property. A naturalized blend of Eagleston Holly, Little Gem Magnolia, and Japanese Blueberry compliment the existing Junipers to round out a dense privacy wall. The evergreen wall also acts to emphasize the beautiful view out to the lake and bird sanctuary island.

The planting along the side yard is layered but simple to reflect traditional style gardens. A few select species are chosen which will flower and provide foliage texture at different times of the year. Crape Myrtles which accent the front of the evergreen plantings will bloom all through summer. The Gardenias will bloom early spring. The Azaleas should bloom fall through winter but minimum will be repeat bloomers through all of fall. Blue Pacific Shore Juniper provides a year round fine texture and color of minty blue. Flax Lily pairs nicely with the Blue Pacific Shore Juniper and complements the color while providing a different texture to the palette.

The color yellow has explicitly been banned from this color palette. Colors of reds, pinks, purples, blues, and greens have been emphasized.
