During the consultation call we discuss your goals and vision for your property. We welcome you to interview us and ask as many questions about the process as you wish. We understand that it is a big commitment to hire and entrust a designer with your home and property and it is our mission to make you feel confident and comfortable with us through the entire process. Our design office is based in the College Park neighborhood of Orlando, Florida. We provide landscape architecture and design services to the entire Central Florida region. Our licensure allows us to work within the entire state.
By the way, this is Zack and I (Kaley) working on our own phased master plan of our yard in College Park, Orlando. In our own yard, we balance native plantings with room for our dogs to run, plenty of space to grow our own food, and comfortable entertaining areas to have friends and family come over for dinner. As a family oriented firm, you can trust us to prioritize your family and personal needs at your property. The next step after the consultation call is to schedule a time for us to come out to your property and see everything in person. During this time we work through your ideas and potential phasing (if applicable). We will take any necessary measurements and analyze the physical conditions surrounding the property such as sun, soil, and wind exposure. After the site visit, we go back to the design office and pull together a Mood Board, which is a collection of images for both hardscape and landscape. This allows us to gauge your style and make sure we are all on the same page before entering the final design phase. We welcome all the feedback possible as this helps us understand your needs, goals, and style even further. We also welcome the addition of your own inspiration images or Pinterest/Houzz boards.
After we review the Mood Board feedback we enter the design phase! This is where we hone the goals and vision for the project. This is also where we consider your personal timeline and budget to begin the phasing process. We encourage you to give us a realistic budget so we can design to what you are able to do and when you are able to do it. We have no interest in delivering a design you are not financially or energy-wise ready to take on! Seasonality in Orlando and Central Florida is also considered during the phasing tmeline. You do not want to be installing a bunch of plants in the dead of summer, however this is the perfect time to install any hardscape items that are a part of your vision. We can also tailor your design to fit if you will be DIY-ing or hiring out a lot of the projects, or a little bit of both!
After the design is delivered, we welcome any and all feedback! We can work through any requested revisions, if there even are any! We want you to be fully satisfied with your design and just as excited about it as we are! We offer a variety of post-design services to help you implement your design however you might need as well.
